Northern Commanders LLC (NC) is an FAR 135 certificated company (certificate number NC7A808L). It provides normal charter services as well as government contract flight services including forest fire support and sea mammal surveys.

Northern Commanders purchased all of the assets of Commanders Northwest (CNW), a Wenatchee based company, in 2006. CNW had been active in conducting sea mammal surveys for over 20 years and NC has proudly carried on that tradition. NC currently operates 8 aircraft, five of which are Aero Commanders (three 500S, one 680FL and one 690A). All commanders are configured for sea mammal survey operations but the 680 and 690 are also equipped with long range fuel tanks, various camera mounts, and variable window configurations including bubble windows. NC is well equipped to manage dispersed and remote operations. As an example, at the moment NC has aircraft operating in California, Alaska and Washington state.

NC has a well established maintenance and safety program. NC uses the Medallion safety program which is an Alaska based safety program supported by the FAA and the state of Alaska. We have incorporated this program company wide. NC is also an ARG/US rated company which shows the commitment to safety demanded by our passengers. Even though much of the government operations are actually conducted under FAR part 91, NC follows FAR part 135 rules including flight crew management, maintenance procedures, and operational control for every flight conducted.
